I’ve wanted the new TF Electric Cherry for some time but needed just didn’t have it in the budget. Decided to give Alt a try and I’m so glad I did! Perfectly scented at a fantastic price. Best of all, I was able to try a new mystery scent - 724 is my new summer scent! Love both!
I made my first purchase from ALT late last month, and wanted to wear the perfumes right away, and then let them macerate 2 weeks, and give them another go. Out of all 4 bottles, Cherry Lightning was the one I was looking the most forward to. I am a cherry and almond fiend. The classic Jergens cherry almond lotion is great to layer with this one, because you are going to need it. My husband, who only likes faint perfumes and colognes, loved this. Myself, I am more heavy handed. 20 years ago, when cherry perfumes were extremely rare to find, and everything was "cherry blossom" instead, I even made my own straight up cherry perfume with the cherry scent oil, and some carrying odorless oil, from my soap and candle making supplies. Everyone wanted a bottle. It was my little secret, and I only made a bottle for my best friend. I was hoping, that Cherry Lightning would be an even louder cherry, with the addition of almond, and add a subtle floral note for pleasure. This really does smell divine, when you can smell it, which is for the first 5 minutes of application. It simply doesn't last, which is why I took a star away. My other 3 bottles, which are Suds, Liberty, and Iris Femme, I can still smell on myself the following morning, and still smelled them on my clothes when I sorted laundry a few days later. I'm going to try the Cherry Smash next. I thought that Cherry Lightning would be a sweeter cherry, that projects and lasts like crazy, like most of Alt's other scents, because cherry smash has darker notes listed, but it also has wayyyy more reviews with others saying it's an amazing cherry scent that lasts and projects and has a nice smooth but deep dry down note of amber-y sandalwood. So that is my next step. With the other scents I picked, only Liberty wasn't a blind buy, because I had the real YSL Libre, but two squirts was enough for that one, and all the others. With Electric Cherry, I used it behind both ears, inner elbows, wrists, neck, behind both knees, on my clothes, and layered it with Jergens cherry almond lotion. I'm already halfway through the 1 Oz bottle, after 2 uses. To sum it up, Lasting power: tiny. Sillage: almost non existent. You have to have nose to skin to smell it for the 10 minutes it lasts. Scent: absolutely gorgeous. If you have asthma, you'd definitely be fine with this scent!
I wasn't sure about purchasing this but so glad I did. The scent is amazingly refreshing! I highly recommend it!
I have been hunting so long for a fragrance that delivers a strong cherry top note with a hint of spiciness, and man, has ALT hit it on the head so perfectly with CHERRY LIGHTNING! This scent lasts all day; no need to respray. It’s lovely, and I’ve been paid so many compliments when I’m wearing this. Thanks for another bonafide fragrance extravaganza!!!
