A Sparkling Find at the New York Kennedy Airport

When I arrived at the New York J F Kennedy Airport from Miami I wanted to find a new cologne that would smell unique when splashed on my skin chemistry.
There was a cologne boutique nearby and I centered on the Tom Ford line of products. The samples with small strips of paper were available to pre test the different colognes. One noticeable bottle was empty. I asked the young attendant if there would be a tester for use from the Neroli Portofino by Tom Ford to smell. She only replied, “That one sells out fast. I will have the manager put one out for you.” I lifted the light turquoise-colored bottle and smelled the empty bottle’s last vapors. I immediately knew why Neroli
Portofino was a best seller with its turquoise blue glass bottle and its notes of: bergamot, lemon essence, mandarin orange and amber. The price, comparatively, was $255 at Bloomingdale’s and $200 at Walmart. At the airport boutique the suggested price was north of $300. I would wait until I found something more economical. The wait was only a few weeks since I found several ads for Alt Fragrances.
I am very happy that someone took the initiative to break the established trend of pricey men’s colognes. The old adage is that 50-years ago a house cost what a new car costs today. And, 50-years ago a used car cost what a dinner for four costs today. It is always great to save some dollars if you are planning to take a young lady to dinner while wearing a sparkling cologne. Just Porto is an excellent choice compared to T.F. Neroli Portofino, it emits a mediterranean clean aqua smell and costs hundreds less for the same effect.
