I have the original and I sprayed it on my right wrist and then sprayed the gentleman on my left wrist. I then went to my wife and asked her to find the original scent. Simply put, she couldn’t and thought i was tricking her saying I used the same on both wrists. This is the only company I get my fragrances from now.
Best inspired scent out there, it is heavy on the scent.( In a good way) This brand does great to match expensive scents. The quality is way better than the OG. I will be buying more scents, I cant wait to buy another one
We started this journey of men’s fragrance with the original scent called Gaultier. My husband loved this scent and everyone who knew him could identify him with this fragrance. After a few years wearing the original brand my husband had major cancer surgery and lost his sense of smell. When I found the ALT version The Gentleman I was thrilled and my husband was able to smell and recognize his favorite scent. Everyone who knows him now are delighted to have him back with the scent they remember. The scent of Fragrance is a powerful memory.
Wasn’t what I was expecting… not really a match to JPG le male. It had a strong medicinal tone to the fragrance. Not sure if it was a bad bottle or just not what I was expecting.

I wore Jean Paul for years, and I think this is a fairly accurate dupe… not exact, but very similar and overall a very good scent!
Son wanted the real deal I said no way. lol found this dupe and thought for $40 why not. It’s actually pretty decent. Smells very similar and last most of the day. I’d buy it again!
