Strong Cedar Notes

I listened to an influencer, and bought this blindly.
When making this batch of Santal, they must have been heavy handed on the cedar because my bottle smells like 100% cedar oil. There are no other scent notes listed in the description that I can smell, just cedar.

Santal Parfum

I think the Santal Parfum could be a good fit for someone, and is very long-lasting (like many ALT perfumes, I'm coming to find), but it's not really my cup of tea. I chose this perfume because I tend to reach for similar base notes (Sandalwood, leather, cedarwood, and musk), and have since discovered that I'm not a fan of 'tangy sweetness' that you can find in Santal's top notes (violet, cardamom). The middle notes (ambroxan, iris, papyrus) are far more subdued, and I'm a fan of how they meld with the base notes. After wearing the perfume for an hour or so, I don't mind it, but I'm not in love with it either. The top notes overwhelm my sniffer, and give me a headache, which makes it even harder to love.
That being said, my favorite perfume currently that has similar base notes (cedar, ambergris), more subdued middle (violet, magnolia, and sandalwood) and top notes (ambrette, sapodilla) is Desert Phantom. This perfume doesn't give me a headache, and I would smell it all day if I could. Highly recommend!

I wanted to purchase this perfume long time ago after I smelled to one of my patient,but wasn’t sure how it will smells on me ,I am a flowery girl and this is my first time using a woody smell perfume ,it is a dupe for santal 33 ,and I like how I smell ,the only downside thing it doesn’t stay to long after a couple of hours I need to reapply
